Black Walnut is rich in calcium. It helps with osteoporosis, anaemia, adenopathy, rheumatism, arthritis, respiratory problems, bronchitis, the liver and the bile. It stimulates the nervous system, it reduces excessive sweating of the hands, excessive sweating of the feet (with foot baths) and helps reduce phlegm. It strengthens the hair (by washing it), it helps in rickets, diabetes and lowers blood pressure.
How to brew Black Walnut tea - Dried leaves of Black Walnut:
Put one teaspoonful of dried Black Walnut into a warmed teapot or small casserole.
Add 250 ml (1 glass) of boiling water and boil for 10-15 minutes.
Separate from the leaves and drink hot or warm. Remaining leaves could be eaten.
Recommended consumption for adults: 200 ml 3 times daily 30 min before meals, for 3 weeks. Repeat after 2 weeks break.
Tip: Tea efficiency is much higher when distilled/purified water is used.
