Calendula tea helps with the liver, the flu, colds, gastritis, stomach ulcers and ulcers in the intestines. It lowers blood pressure, it’s antiseptic, germicidal and antipyretic. It is a fungicide, it is a herb for the skin (especially as a cream) and it helps with the eyes (by washing for better vision). It eliminates calluses (by rubbing calendula cream), it cleanses the blood and has anticancer properties. It is a sudorific herb (it causes sweating which helps to reduce fever, eliminates toxins), it prevents miscarriages (1-2 teas a day to prevent miscarriages) and works as a diuretic.
How to brew Calendula tea - Dried leaves of Calendula:
Put one teaspoonful of dried Calendula into a warmed teapot or small casserole.
Add 250 ml (1 glass) of boiling water and boil for 10-15 minutes.
Separate from the leaves and drink hot or warm. Remaining leaves could be eaten.
Recommended consumption for adults: 200 ml 3 times daily 30 min before meals, for 3 weeks. Repeat after 2 weeks break.
Tip: Tea efficiency is much higher when distilled/purified water is used.
