Cinnamon lowers blood sugar, lowers blood pressure and is a heating herb that promotes good blood circulation. It helps with digestion, reduces inflammation, pain, cholesterol and arthritis symptoms. It helps prevent urinary tract infections, digestion, reduce arthritic pain and has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It also helps in weight loss and healthy blood clotting.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
How to brew Cinnamon tea:
Put one teaspoonful of cinnamon into a warmed teapot or small casserole. Add 250 ml (1 glass) of boiling water and boil for 10-15 minutes. Separate from the leaves and drink hot or warm. Remaining leaves could be eaten. Recommended consumption for adults: 200 ml 3 times daily (30 min before meals, for 3 weeks.)
Tip: Tea efficiency is much higher when distilled/purified water is used.
