Chamomile tea helps with insomnia, loss of appetite, the bile, colds, respiratory inflammation, fever, coughs, asthma, mouth ulcers, earache and eye pain. It acts as a relaxant (in migraines, dizziness, anger, hysteria), it calms sexual impulses and it is recommended for restless babies. It helps with amnesia, colic in babies, teething problems in babies, the stomach, the intestines, diarrhoea and haemorrhoids. It also helps you to digest, it’s antiseptic and anti-allergic.
How to brew Chamomile tea - Dried leaves of Chamomile:
Put one teaspoonful of dried Chamomile into a warmed teapot or small casserole.
Add 250 ml (1 glass) of boiling water and boil for 10-15 minutes.
Separate from the leaves and drink hot or warm. Remaining leaves could be eaten.
Recommended consumption for adults: 200 ml 3 times daily 30 min before meals, for 3 weeks. Repeat after 2 weeks break.
Tip: Tea efficiency is much higher when distilled/purified water is used.
